Jan 26, 2010 · The C6 in "stock" configuration will shift manually 1-2 at any speed you shift but the 2-3 shift will not happen as soon as you shift unless you are beyond the rpm of the governor or the manifold vacuum is high enough to allow the shift to take place. If you back out of the throttle then the shift will slow down because of the valve body timing.
